Easter with children

If you want a chance to get involved in the
giveaway
head here,
and enter a picture of something that you
treasure.
Ends soon,
winner on friday!

Approaching Easter,
what family crafts,
books,
recipes will you be using,
to teach your children about
the
Easter story?
I'd love to hear them.
I have a few things lined up,
including
a jesus in the tomb baking idea,
found here.

      Making a mini garden,
with a stone and a cross in it,
    to represent the
  cross
        and the
   tomb.

There are also some lovely
lamb
crafts,
that concentrate on the
lamb of God.

We will be eating some of these!
"Hot God buns"
{as Ellie likes to call them!}

We will be reading this,

and celebrating the fact that
He is Risen!

Songs and Poems

Ho, Ho, Ho, Hosanna
Ho, Ho, Ho, Hosa a na
Ha, Ha, Ha, leigh lu u iah
He, He, He has sa aved me.
I've got the joy of the Lord!

Jesus Loves Me
Jesus loves me, this I know
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak, but He is strong.
Yes. Jesus loves me.
Yes. Jesus loves me.
Yes. Jesus loves me.
The Bible tells me so!

Jesus Died For All the Children
(From: everythingpreschool.com)
(Tune: 'Jesus Loves the Little Children')
Jesus died for all the children.
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus died for all the children of the world.

Jesus Saved Me
(Tune: 'Jesus Loves Me')
(By M. Hubbard)
Jesus saved me, this I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Nailed to the cross for my own sins,
died, and buried, and raised again!
Yes, Jesus saved me!
Yes, Jesus saved me.
Yes, Jesus saved me.
He saved me from my sins.

How will you celebrate
Easter
this year?

Let us know!

Reflection time.

This little girl,
pictured here,
is turning
7 years old soon!
I cant believe it!
In some ways,
it seems like
yesterday,
that the little 6lb 2oz baby,
came home with us,
and I held her in my arms,
just
gazing
at her,
for hours on end!
She is pictured her,
age 3,
next to her favorite flowers,
the daffodil.
They come out around her
birthday,
and she loves it when they
appear!
She makes up songs about them!!

This little girl,
who is still 3yrs,
decided this morning,
that before cleaning
her
teeth,
she would first clean
Skulley's
teeth!

This was very amusing to her!

Both of these girls,
have always enjoyed
expressing their own sense
of
style!

{Above} Ellie this morning....

Jessie and her
rock star look!
(this is her favorite top, as it carries
all christian symbols on it..
Jesus has the
Key
to her
heart.
He died on the
cross.
He made the
 stars,
in the heavens,
and he gave
New life,
like a
caterpillar
into a
butterfly!

I really love being a mum,
to these two
precious girls!
( Ellie collecting 'unkerconks' )

Finding worms...

hugging trees?!

But being a Mum,
has its many challenges,
choices,
decisions...

and,
if i have any hope of getting it right,
training them,
equipping them,
loving them,
teaching them,

I must be diligent
in these things..

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.
So let us put aside the deeds of darkness,
and put on the armor of light.
Romans 13:12

and..

Psalm 54:2
Hear my
prayer, O God;
listen to the words of my mouth.

Staying close to Him....

Have a blessed day.

Who are you serving?

Who do we serve?
A man can not serve two masters,
Luke 16:13
Do not let the fear of Man
and seeking approval
shape your life.
Seek to please God!
If you understand and submit to Gods calling,
this will shape your life
and your relationships.
We are here to incarnate Christ to others.
We must understand our calling!
W e are here to live for His glory!
I either live for Gods Glory
Or I will live for earthly Glory
( acceptance and worth in life)
We are to confront people
with
GOD.
2 corinthians 5:20
'We are christs ambassadors,
We are to make Christs appeal to others,
through our lives.'
We represent God!
What a scary thought!
Do our lives reflect Christ?
What areas perhaps fail in that?
How can we improve?
In Marriage- we are ambassadors
As a parent- We are ambassadors
As friends-We are ambassadors
At work-We are ambassadors!
This is why we must put away all selfish desires.
We are living representatives for God!
We can't serve ourselves and God.
We put him first in all things.
Trusting him to take care of all our needs!
We need to stay close to God if we are to reflect him.
You cant imitate someone you do not know!
Someone you spend every day with, you can tell how they react in pressure,
What they will find funny,
who they care about,
what affects them,
upsets them...
How close are we to the God we are representing?
How can we engage in a closer walk?

If you havn't entered the givaway yet,
take a look over @

Treasure- get involved, give away!

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:21

Go!

Fathered by God.

OUR FATHER ,
who is in
HEAVEN..

May your name be kept holy.

 May your Kingdom come soon.

May your will be done on earth,

as it is in heaven.

Give us today the food we need,

 and forgive us our sins,

as we have forgiven those who sin against us.

And don’t let us yield to temptation,

but rescue us from the evil one.

He will call out to me, 'You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Savior.'

1 John 3:1
How great is the
love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Psalm 10:14
But you, O
God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.
Is there something, someone,
a situation,
a problem,
a concern,
that you are
praying about
right now?

Are you calling out to God
on behalf of someone else?
Are you yourself,
in
need?

Psalm 56:8
You number and record my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle – are they not in Your book?
I just want to encourage you this morning.
God hears those prayers!
God listens when we
cry out to him.

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

You may feel like
he is not listening,
you may be waiting for an
answer,

Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.

but
wait
on
HIM.
For he cares deeply for you.

Psalm 55:16

16 But I call to God,
 and the LORD saves me.
If you are in need of prayer today,
and would like support in it,
please drop me an email
or comment below,
so we can stand with you.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
