Skip breakfast- I ate yesterday!

Exodus 16:4
4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.

In the secret place, this is where you find me.
I will cover you with kisses and wash away your tears.
I will strengthen you.
I will speak with you.
Will you meet me here, in our secret place?

It seems to be a common theme amongst the blogs I am reading at the moment.
Mothers, wives, women, Men are all saying very similar things.
'God is calling me to be closer to him.'
It is true for me and encouraging my heart to hear that I am not alone in this.
God is calling his bride.
I had a picture once of Jesus whispering.
I could not hear what he was saying and I asked him to speak louder.
He continued to whisper.
This caused me to step closer to him,
to bend my ear and put it close to his mouth.
I heard him speak then.
"I just wanted you close to me"

I went to God in prayer yesterday, I was going to meditate on the words he had given me and the scriptures I had read the previous day. I heard him say to me, 'No, that was bread for yesterday. I have fresh bread for you today. Come again to me and hear fresh words from my lips and let me open up different scriptures to you for today!'
I  was immediately reminded of the story in Exodus, where God rained down fresh manna for his people, daily bread. If they took too much, to save for the following day, it would go off and taste sour.

He is our daily bread, He is our bread of life for our soul, spirit and mind.
Just because I ate yesterday, does not mean I am not hungry today!
Don't skip breakfast, get a fresh taste of him today.

Thanks for the help- I thought it was just a case of the follow button on the top of the blog page.
No it wasn't taken by me, but I love it. :0)

I LOVE what Jesus whispered to you!! Oooohhh, it gave me goosebumps! And about the fresh bread for today--how often He has reminded me not to live on the manna from yesterday! SUCH a good Word from HIm!

Such a good message! I need to remind myself to start fresh each day and to come to Him as often as possible.
