Times of Surrender

I never particularly liked the word surrender. 
Listening to the words of the song 'I surrender to you' by Jeremy camp this morning,
I  realized something. Every time God has asked me to do something and I felt I didnt want to do, when I decide to do it regardless, I am never disappointed by the results!
 Sometimes the choice is hard. It can feel as if it goes against everything within you,
but I have tested and tried the art of surrender and found that only blessing, freedom and fullfilment follow. It is all about deciding to say, "Yes God" despite any fears.

Romans 14:7 ' For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live for God; and if we die, we die to God. So, whether we live or die, we belong to God.'

Prior to knowing God in a very real way, I never understood the concept of living for him and surrender to his will. It didn't make complete sense to me. 
Having come to know God now & to recognise his voice, to feel his gentle guidance in my life, I wouldn't have it any other way!

If all the things I desired to do within my life had happened, I expect I would have a bit of a messy life by now! Not only does our heavenly Father know what is best for us as unique individuals, with differing desires and dreams, but he is able to bring them to pass in ways you never dreamed possible!

 He sees the way ahead-he sees deep within my heart, he sees things from an eternal perspective, he has my life safely placed within his loving hands. My Fathers hands, for this , I am so gratefull!
