Life through the lens.

Ellie loves blowing these seeds everywhere!
She brought one into the car,
we were driving home and she blew it,
its tiny seeds, floated around the car,
like little dancing fairies,
they went up my nose,
in my hair and we laughed!
So hard,
it was a cute mum-daughter moment.

Jessie at the pond, down the road,
ducklings had been hatched, so we went to see them..

At the park.

Playing with friends.

Have a blessed day!

You know you're a Mum when....

 Arizona Mamma
@
hosts this fun little meme.

I thought that I would join in today.

You know that you're a Mum when....

Your favorite, new lipstick,

No longer looks like this,
but more like this:

When scenes like this are rare,

and considered unrealistic!

Perhaps scenes like this,

are more likely!

You know when your mum ,when
asked what recent books you have read,
its hard to think of one that  does not come
out of the children's selection!

You know you're a mum when,
instead of seeing these;

You can only picture these!

You KNOW you're a mum when,
despite,
all of the above, at the end of a crazy day,
you can't help but look like this!

Yes- You are a Mum!!

Clean house?

This morning in prayer,
I was given this song...

You better get your head bent low,
You better get your knees bent, to the floor..
For whether you like it or not,
He is coming,
He is coming!

You better get your head bent low,
You better get your knees bent, to the floor.
You better get your house in order,
For He is coming,
He is coming!
Majestic and beautiful one.
Holy and anointed one.
King of kings,
this is Gods son!
This is Gods son!

I see his royal robes,
touching over us.
As he walks amongst us,
we are weeping,
we are weeping.

You better get your head bent low,
You better get your knees bent, to the floor..
For whether you like it or not,
He is coming,
He is coming!

You better get your head bent low,
You better get your knees bent to the floor.
You better get your house in order,
For He is coming,
He is coming!

He's not a humble servant anymore,
He is the King of Kings, and he's at your door,
He is the chosen one.
He is coming,
He is coming!

How is your house looking?

Transparent

Here I am,
standing before thee.
Nothing hidden,
nothing kept.
Here I am, tears make their path,
down my dusty face.
Tried and tested,
Here I am.

Desperate and thirsty,
longing for more.
Fill me!
Here I stand,
questioning your reasons,
for choosing a daughter
like me.
Words I can not muster,
thoughts I cant find.
Thankful.

My depths in your arms become like shallow waters.
You see my standing,
You see my sitting,
You know the framework within.
You placed my heart here,
You placed my soul,
You breathed your life into me.

Dry bones,
was all I was, when you reached out your hand.
I was as dry as the hot sand in the desert.
Waters, so living, now fill my soul,
Cooling the pain.
The pain I feel,
for the lost,
the broken,
the confused,
the angry,
the hurting...

Reach down dear Lord,
touch my heart once again,
reassure my heart with your  hope.
For I am transparent before thee.
Nothing hidden,
nothing kept.
Lord,
your will be done...

I love you- FULL STOP.

Loving One Another
7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

1 John 4: 7-10

God speaks to me through every day things,
Circumstances, events, words,
 day to day, ordinary times.

It has been a busy month for our Family,
James has been busy working,
training, and in his spare time, having to try and fix our car.
{Which has been broken for a long time.}
Also our washing machine was playing up,
so I needed him to look at that,
He was getting tired from it all
and things were getting stressful.

One problem, followed another...
We prayed, it didn't seem to improve things!
I kept thinking, there must be something God
is teaching us in all of this!
Our characters were being squashed..
like grapes and not everything that leaked out was pleasant!
We both had moments
of frustrations,
impatience,
short tempers...
but also times of
recognizing,
The need of Gods peace,
trusting in Him,
waiting,
being patient...

I think I learnt that I have things I personally need to improve on.
I mean, God provided a way for the children to get to school.
Each day, we had offers,
lending cars etc,
but it was like the daily bread!
I never knew from one day to the next how
It was going to work..
But,
God was faithful in his provision.
Friend were helpful!

When we reached the glorious light,
at the end of a long, dark,
mechanical failing tunnel, we were so relieved!
James came in late,
after dropping the car at the M.O.T garage,
He slumped into bed,
tired words escaping his mouth,
"I've put the rubbish out ....."

It was in that moment,
that God spoke to me...
Despite the frustrations,
the annoyances of car problems,
mechanical failings,
I was thankful for my husband!
I love him.

As his words rung in my ear,
"I've put the rubbish out.."
I knew, this wasn't the reason I loved him.
I don't love him, for all the things he does to help us
as a family.
Sure those things help,
but I got thinking,
If anything were to happen to him,
If I lost him,
I seriously doubt my words at his
funeral would be,
" I miss him putting the rubbish out,
and fixing the car and the washing machine...
His work will be deeply mourned and missed in our hearts!"

No!!
I will miss HIM!
because I love HIM!
{ Not all that he does...}
Thats just an added bonus ;0)

In the same way,
God spoke to my heart,
" I love YOU,
Not for all you DO,
but for who you are.....
to me.."

In the same way that I don't love my husband, for
all he does for me,
I love him,
for who he is to me!
He loves and cares for us,
thats WHY he does the things he does.
Its the heart of him,
that makes me love him.

Its the same for your heavenly Father,
and his love for you.

Selah.

Daddy can I ride my bike?

I was driving back home today,
and I watched a little girl and her bike.
She was  holding her favorite teddy, being picked up by her Dad.
He then stooped down and proceeded to pick up her bike also!
On one hip, the little girl clung onto her Daddy's neck,
with her teddy dangling from her clenched hand.
On his other hip,
tucked under his arm, was her little bike,
tassels hanging from the handle bars and gently blowing in the warm breeze.
It made me smile.
It reminded me of my children.
So determined to want to do something,
only to later  realize that maybe,
its not what they wanted after all.
If I didn't resist the urge to say,
"I told you!"
I would have said it a million times by now!
How easy it could have been for that Daddy to say,
"No, you fought to ride your bike,
I don't care if you have changed your mind,
You are riding it all the way home!"
But he didn't.
He lovingly swept her up,
then carried her bike to!

It reminded me of God.
How often do we think we know best?
"I really want to...please let me God!"
It may not be anything rebellious or wrong,
it could just be that it isn't Gods plan for us.
But we push,
"Pleeeeease!"
He accepts, lets us choose our own way.
He is not one to in force himself on us.
" You'll get tired, you'll change your mind.."
He might say.
"No I'll be fine..."
{This is a favorite saying of my youngest}

So we carry on..
Perhaps its a yard down the road before we realize,
or maybe a mile?
But we'll get there,
sure enough!

Then He will step in,
take the extra load upon himself,
pick us up,
and carry us home.

1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible)

7Casting the whole of your care {all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all} on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Purpose.

As a young woman,
 finding God was like finding
light
at the end of a long
dark
tunnel.
Days had been
tough,
weary,
grief stricken,
lonely and
seemingly
hopeless.

What I did not realize,
was that,
even though I had taken
my eyes
off of God.
His eyes,
were continually watching over me.

Proverbs 15:3

The eyes of the LORD are everywhere,
keeping watch on the wicked and the good.

My priorities,
in those dark days,
was simply getting by.
Getting in a
safe place
with God.
Feeling that I was
OK.
God didn't leave me there!
No, he chose not only to
save me,
but to
love me,
heal me,
fill me with
life,
overflowing,
abundant living!

There was so much I didn't know
about
myself
back then!
I was like a flower bud,
that hadn't seen the
light of the sun.
I didn't know what
colour I was,
what type of flower I was even!

Slowly I began to open up,
in the warmth of his light.
I began to stretch and move,
toward Him.
As I did,
I discovered so much!

If your first concern is to look after yourself, you'll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you'll find both yourself and me.
Matthew 10:39

Take time.
Sit still.
Think hard.
"Am I missing anything?"
"Am I missing Gods best for me?"
"Who am I in Him?"
"Why did God create me?"
"What is My Purpose?"
"What colour am I?"
"What flower am I?"
"Am I growing, or just hiding in the shade?"

Lord,
take our hands,
As a Father takes a child.
Let us feel the warmth of your
LOVE
fill us up,
to overflowing.
As it fills us,
every thought,
every part
of our being,
let us start to see ourselves,
as you do.
Beautiful,
chosen,
created for fellowship with you,
to hear the whisper of your voice in our ears,
to feel the touch of your hand in ours.
To know,
we possess
your heart,
when we are
your child.
Amen
