OK
So, you have surrendered.
You have resigned your will over to destiny.
You have handed over the reins and decided,
 that you will follow
your heavenly Fathers lead.
You can't see very far ahead,
You can only see a few of his footprints in the soil.
You can see just enough to start your journey.
You roll up your sleeves,
pull your hair back into a bun,
Take in a deep breath.
The walking boots sit about a foot from your bare feet.
He has left them there for you.
They are your size.

"He's thought of everything"
You say under your breath.
Your lips pull a side smile as you think about him.
"He always gets me,
He knows what I am going to decide, in the end.
He has everything prepared in advance for my journey.
I always have a choice,
but he knows what I have chosen before I do."

You feel waves of excitement and liberation about the journey ahead.
You have packed Faith and Trust in your backpack.
Essential items indeed.
You slide your feet into the boots.
Lean down to tie the laces tight.
Then you see his face.
The warmth of his smile fills you with comfort.
"I'm going to enjoy this journey
I can feel it within."

God speaks to me in varying ways.
Recently, He has spoken to my heart through the concepts of gardening.
We are like Gods plants, we need:
Planting,
Watering,
Feeding,
Pruning.
We need to be planted in good soil..
The gardener may need to
reposition us,
to get us in a better spot for growth.

I spoke a bit about this in my last post.
This week,
God was reminding me about seasons.
How in one season,
A plant bulb can lay dormant, under the surface of the soil, and seem to disappear.
If we have seen it grow up in the summer or spring before,
We have faith it will do the same once more.
However, we can't see it.
But we believe it will return.
Likewise, I find myself thinking about seasons where I have flourished and thrived,
But now, I may be in the winter season.
All evidence of my buds are gone.
My days of blossoming are a distant memory.
However,
I hear the gentle voice of the great gardener in my ear.
"You will rise again.
You will bloom again.
You will feel alive again."

Here is another illustration Jesus used: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field.  It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.”

Take your mustard seed,
Take your life.
Invest in your talents, gifts,
dreams & desires.
Hand those things to God to multiply and live life!
Dare to believe that your small part, of giving to your dreams, investing your talents,
will bring a harvest of beautiful blessing.

“Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds. As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died. Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants.Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”

Daily bread-we need nourishment and food daily.
We also need spiritual food daily, checking in with God, Keeping an open communication line with heaven.
Remembering that we are not just physical beings, but that we have spiritual lives that need food.
Life, breathing, giving, living, connecting, growing, changing, evolving.
There is more to us than flesh and blood. We have a responsibility to keep connected to our spirits, otherwise they may dull, fade, become weak.
Open your spiritual eyes and ears and hear what the spirit of God is saying to you.
He loves it when you connect and remain in close communication with Him.
If we starve our spirits, our physical -mental states also suffer. They are all connected.
We may become downcast, depressed, feel hopeless. Look up!
God is in control and has the answers, He has the blueprints for your life and offers you to receive the best. But its our choice.
"Whoever has ears, let them hear." Matthew 11:15 ""Are you listening to me? Really listening?
" ♥

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

Grow

'Dr. Robert Schuller's hobbies include raising koi fish. Asked why some grow big while others stay small, he replied, 'If a koi fish lives in a small tank it will never grow longer than two or three inches. In a larger pond they can grow up to ten inches long-in ponds the size of mine they'll get to be eighteen inches long-but if they live in a huge lake where they can swim and stretch, they can grow up to three feet long. The size of the pond determines the size of the fish. Similarly, little ideas in little-thinking minds produce little achievements. But little ideas embraced by big-thinking minds produce enormous achievements.' Jesus said, 'According to your faith be it unto you' (Mt 9:29). The size of your faith and your vision determines the outcome of your idea.'

A friend sent me the above today. It was spot on to some of the things that God has been sharing with us.
We are both facing lots of CHANGE right now,
or in the not too distant future.
We have been a bit lost in the process of these changes,
but God has remained faithful.
As we prayed over future decisions,
thoughts,
fears,
concerns,
I had a picture for us both.
It was of a plant, fairly established within a nice garden.

Next, I saw the gardener come and dig up the roots of this garden plant and pull it out of its surroundings.

I knew that the plants represented us.
It was uncomfortable and frustrating for the plant,
Its roots were exposed, It lay vulnerable in the gardeners grip.
All the  security of the soil had vanished. It could not draw any nourishment from the soil.
It simply had to wait and trust the gardener to place it within it's new surroundings.

The problem is, we can not really see that far ahead.
We can not see the new garden space that the great gardener has prepared.
So we need to exercise our faith and trust.
He promises to bless us, feed us, shepherd us, love us, teach us.

We can always stay where we are...
We can of course choose not to move on,
But I think the gardener knows when is the perfect time to move his plants,
to give them a better space in the garden,
to uproot them from a small area and give them room to grow.
Otherwise we may feel our roots going around and around the same things,
with very little space to live and feed and grow..

Let yourself believe.
Let yourself trust.
Let yourself dream.
Let yourself grow.

God has the map.

OK God,
I think I am ready.
I have kicked, and cried,
and tried,
to understand
Why.
The truth is,
I dont understand,
but I trust
YOU.
I know that
YOU
have never let me down,
even when events and chapters have unfolded,
pages have come,
and gone,
embraced and un-embraced.
You
carry me.
YOU
guide me.
I feel you pull my heart away,
to a new day,
another way,
a new path,
unmarked,
not walked.
I can not see ahead,
I have only your voice to guide me.
I can't lag behind,
or I might lose sight of
YOU.
The darkness and uncertainty blind me,
But YOU are my light.
I know that
I have kicked, and cried,
and tried,
to understand
Why.
But I think now,
I am ready,
to follow,
to not look at things I leave behind,
But to took to
YOU.
To hold your hand,
to trust YOUR plan,
to leave the question marks,
in the sand.
YOU
hold my teras,
YOU
are aware of my feras,
but
YOUR perfect love,
will bind them and wipe my tears away.
Joy will be found in the light of a
new day.
I step toward
YOUR way,
The path, I sense you are calling me on.
Clothed in simple,
rustic
FAITH.
I come.

Cross roads

If you have reached a crossroads in your life,
where you have to make big decisions,
But do not know which way to go,
What do you do?

I believe that choice is a gift.
Life is full of choices,
and what we choose, will determine our life paths.
What happens when we do not know the best way to go?

Here are things I am learning along the way.

♥ Follow your heart
Work out what is within your heart and see which path would better those desires.

♥ Follow your dreams
What are your long term goals, aspirations, desires?
Work toward those, which path will enhance those areas?

♥ Seek divine wisdom from above.
God knows our thoughts, our desires, our dreams.
He placed them within us before we were even born.
If you are stuck in knowing the right path, pray, seek ask!

♥ Feel the fear of change, and if it seems the better path, do it anyway!
Pushing past our comfort zones is not easy, but it is how we grow.
See it as a challenge to push yourself beyond the boundaries that you live within at present.

♥ Write things down.
Emotions tend to sway our decisions. So write down practical ideas, pros and cons for each decision.
Write down your goals, strengths, weaknesses, and see what fits your personal ambitions.

♥ Ask others.
People that know you, people you trust. Seek opinions of those around you who would want the best for you.

♥ Take time.
Be patient, If one path is not quite ready to be walked on, It may be a case of timing.
You might not quite be ready.

♥ Leave the current path behind well.
When another door opens, another must close. If you feel doors closing, leave them behind with the right heart. Even if they ended in hurt, disappointment, or sadness, do not leave with bad feelings.
Forgive, move on, but dont bring along any baggage into your new adventure. Chances are, if you do, you will find history repeating itself in some way.

♥Dare to dream
Focus on, meditate on, think upon the positives and the possibilities of the new path.
Imagine it, and see yourself in that place. So when you are really there, you will have already walked in the possibilities and it will seem familiar and right.

Bless you in your life choices.
Dare to step out of your comfort zone and see the adventures that await!

"Only those who see the invisible can attempt the impossible."

" Prayer opens the channels of possibility "

The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.Proverbs 12:15

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.Psalm 37:4

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
 Micah 6:8

I am the vine- You are the branches.
God created us in His Image, So therefore, we look and act Like God.
We are spiritual beings, living a life in a physical body.
We have the wonderful gifts of
Touch,
Taste,
Hearing,
Smell.
Sight.

Life is a beautiful gift.
The world around us is also glorious.
The trees,
the birds singing,
the beauty of a blue sky,
a rainbow,
a rain drop.

I see such beauty in this world,
Take time to digest and breathe it in.

There is also a lot of Ugly,
Negative,
dark,
painful.
This is unfortunate.

However, we have a
CHOICE.
To either be connected to God,
In our spirits,
our minds,
Our focus,
Our thoughts,
Our decisions,
Our relationships..
OR
We can drift along and be affected by negative,
doubt,
stress.

Life can be hard,
But if we stay connected to the life source,
We can be free,
full,
excited,
satisfied.

God is the vine.
We are connected to Him as a branch is.

If you break off a branch, It will lose its source of life.
Stay connected to HEAVEN.
Stay engaged to LIFE.
Remain positive,
inspired,
Remain in Him.
Then your life will bear much good fruit!

Maybe you were a strong wall...Now you lay broken. Not one stone left on top of the other. God says, "Do not worry...Trust me. " I am doing a new thing with you. I have a plan for you...I am changing you, I have a new job for you. He takes parts of you and throws you in the river. You cry, "God what are you doing? Put me back together!' "Wait..." He replies. "Trust me..." and he throws another part of you out into the unknown waters. When there is nothing left of you, He smiles. 'I am done." You look back and see his hand at work....You have been made into stepping stones, into brighter places. Other lonely travellers find their way along your path, and your story of brokenness becomes their platform to cross over peacefully to the land of goodness. ♥

I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
