Raw (e) Distractions

Raw (e) Distractions

Have set a competition,

Take a raw photo of something that distracts you from
spending time with God.

Many things distract me,

Children,

Internet,

texting,

but one thing that always catches my attention,

pulls me away from

being still,

is..

M E S S!

I like to sit in a clean tidy place,

so

M E S S

always

calls

me
to

Clean it!

Tidy it!

Straighten it!

so,

here is my photo:

Hebrews 12:1
God Disciplines His Sons ] Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Luke 10:40
But Martha was
distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"

Bless the children

The Little Children and Jesus
13People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." 16And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.

This morning, I woke up with such

T H A N K F U L N E S S

in my heart

for

these

little

Fat birds

 Proverbs 11: 25 A generous man will prosper;
he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.'

God speaks to me a lot through imagery, pictures, visions.

The other day I had this picture (above) of small

H U N G R Y

birds.

Take a moment to look at them. See how their little necks are

 outstretched,

See how their mouths are

 wide open.

See the look about them that cries out,

'Give me food now!'

The next picture that followed, was a nest full of

Content,

 Fat

Full birds,

I could not find a picture to suit exactly, but the closest thing I could find was this:
(try not to laugh!)

Now, Here is the part that may get you....

God spoke to me and said this:

" The World is full of hungry people, starving for a taste of me. Their mouths are wide open, their necks are stretched out tall. They are desperate to be fed by the bread of my presence and to be refreshed with my words.

The Church, is full of people who are Fat with my word, my presence, my life....

It is TIME that they got out of their comfy nests and shared some of their spiritual wealth!'

People are

 hungry,

ready

&

 waiting.."

John 21:17
17 The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?"
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you."
    Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

Matthew 25
37 :"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

Today, can we search our own hearts and seek God, asking him to reveal to us who we might share our 'wealth' with.

be blessed,

Count your blessings.

Psalm 1:1-4

1 Oh, the joys of those who do not

follow the advice of the wicked,
      or stand around with sinners,
      or join in with mockers.
2 But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
      bearing fruit each season.
   Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.

It is all too easy to take for granted the amazing gift of knowing God.
To have access to his

P E A C E

that goes beyond our understanding.

To know his

S T R E N G T H

when we feel so small and weak.

To experience the sense that it will all be

O K

even if our worst fears come true.

I for one, would like to take a moment to

T H A N K

my heavenly Father,

For this gift sometimes, makes me feel overwhelmed. It is his

L O V E

'You never leave me God, you never forsake me.'

Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell , You are there.
Psalm 139.8

Tears of thankfulness run down my cheek,
What love is this I have found?
Like a precious jewel, a priceless gift,
Is your love to me.
So undeserving, but so eternally thankful,
do not let me forget.
Let my heart remain soft and open,
and live in a way that says
Thank-you.

Many Boxes.

Matthew 6:33

'But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.'

It was a busy day yesterday, the sun was shining, the air was fresh and I was in the mood for some spring cleaning!
I flung open all the windows, dressed Ellie in her wellies and let her play in the garden.
I loaded the washing machine, fed the dishwasher, washed and cleaned, organized cupboards and the children's craft room. The list went on, but you get the idea!
Ellies cute squeals of delight filled the air outside, as she played in the swings hanging in the apple tree, I felt fresh and happy.

At the end of the day, dinner was made, James came home and then he had to go out again.
The house was quiet, so I turned my attentions to ordering some family books, to help equip  and train my little ones in the things of God and good values etc.
I found so many that looked amazing, it was hard to know which to choose from.
If you need any, I recommend this site:
As I looked through the books, and studied the content and the purpose of each subject, I will be honest, I felt a little overwhelmed!
The huge task of being a Mother flooded me and I began to question how I would cover and equip my children effectively.
Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
I prayed as I went through the list, looking at books which caught my eye and prayed that God would help me be the Mother he intended me to be.
I sought his wisdom and counsel as I looked at the materials.
My heart churned within me, I so want to honor God with the children he has blessed me with.
I felt a need to look at my life, once again (Its a good regular process) to check that my priorities are in line with his.
I went to bed later on that evening and as I closed my eyes, I saw a room full of boxes.
Each box was labeled with a word or two.

Mother,  Wife,  Housekeeper,  Friend,  Counselor-Degree & Studies,  Creche worker,  Church life  &  Family worker.

I looked at the boxes and all the tasks written on them. There seemed a lot of them, I wondered as I spoke to God about how I am to prioritize my time and my tasks accordingly.

It was then that I saw a very large box appear. It covered all my little boxes and they all fit neatly into this large box. On this box I watched a word appear.

J e s u s

Then I heard his voice speak to me,

"But seek first my kingdom and my righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

I knew this! I know this! But again, He had to

Spring is in the air!

Ellie and Jessie's cress has finally grown, we ate some in her cheese sandwiches today.

Yes, because of the lovely spring weather, we were able to eat in the garden. Lovely!

On a funny side, I had got both the girls settled, in Jammies and ready for bed last night,
I came down to find Ellie, 'making daddy a kite and making myself bootiful'
It was pink ink! Didnt want to come off in a hurry!
The poor thing was horrified when she saw herself in the mirror!
Bless.

I trust you are having a good day.
blessings.
